U4GM Tips Stop at Pit 99 to dodge Season 12 sigil bug

Most seasons I'm happy to mindlessly farm, tweak a build, and chase a few upgrades, but Season 12 has a nasty surprise waiting in the Pit. If you're gearing up and stocking materials from Diablo 4 Items or just grinding the old-fashioned way, hear this before you hit triple digits. The moment you clear Pit Tier 100, something in the progression flips, and it doesn't flip back. People keep calling it "just a weird drop bug," but it plays out more like a permanent curse on that character's endgame loop.

What changes after Tier 100

Right after your first Tier 100 clear, your sigil drops can shift into these blood-soaked versions. At first you might think, fine, new flavor of endgame, maybe even better rewards. Then you run one and instantly feel the problem. The content isn't merely tougher. It's broken. Regular sigils basically stop showing up, and your inventory starts filling with blood-soaked ones instead. That's the scary part: it's not a one-off bad roll, it's the new normal for that hero.

The scaling is the real brick wall

Inside those blood-soaked runs, enemy durability goes completely off the rails. It's not "tanky elites" or "bad affixes." You'll see health bars that barely move, even with a clean rotation and decent Masterworking. Folks are saying the health feels inflated by an absurd factor, like you're chiseling a mountain with a spoon, and that matches what a lot of players are experiencing. The result is simple: you can't clear efficiently, which means you can't farm efficiently, which means progression stalls. That's why people are calling it a soft-lock. Your build isn't suddenly bad; the numbers are.

How to avoid it and what to do if it happens

One, stop at Tier 99. Seriously. Park there, farm your usual sigils, and keep your loop stable until Blizzard patches the scaling and the drop logic. Two, if you already cleared Tier 100 and your drops are now stuck in blood-soaked land, don't waste hours trying to "outgear" it. Most players won't. Three, the least painful workaround is rolling a new character and moving gear through your stash, then continuing your farming on the fresh hero while the bricked one sits out. It's annoying, but it's better than banging your head against impossible health pools.

Keep your season moving

If you're the type who only gets a few nights a week to play, this bug can ruin the whole season fast, so play it safe and warn your group before someone "celebrates" that Tier 100 clear. And if you do end up rebuilding, a lot of players try to save time by grabbing missing materials or replacements through services like U4GM while they level back up, then return to farming at sensible tiers instead of gambling their character on broken sigils.
