Safe Harbor catches a lot of players off guard in Riven Tides, mostly because there's no room for a messy run. You've got to do every part in one deployment, then get out alive, or it all resets. That's why people keep talking about route planning, not just loot. The pressure kicks in the moment you land, because one bad fight or one slow decision can waste the whole attempt.

Start at Hotel Panorama Azzurro

Your first stop is Hotel Panorama Azzurro on the west side of the map. Big place, easy to spot, but not always easy to move through. Most players don't bother forcing their way up from the lower floors unless they have to. It's usually smarter to come in from the south, take the zipline, or work across the rooftop line if the area's quiet enough. What you need is the restaurant near the upper section of the hotel. Once you're inside the kitchen area, check the walls carefully. There's a sketch there showing a tennis racket and a bench. That's the one. Interact with it and take the photo. Miss that step and the rest of the quest won't count, no matter what you dig up later.

Follow the clue to the court

After the photo, head south to the Tennis Court point of interest. The game doesn't hand you a clean marker here, so you've got to read the clue for what it is. On the western side of the court area, look around for a bench and a patch of loose dirt. A shovel is often nearby, which helps if you're rushing and second-guessing yourself. That's the dig spot. Interact with the ground and you'll pull up the Precision Gimbal. This is the item that matters, so once it's in your bag, your mindset should change straight away. You're not exploring anymore. You're leaving.

Why most runs fall apart

This is the part where people get greedy. They think, “I'm already here, I may as well loot one more building.” Bad idea. Safe Harbor turns ugly because the extraction is part of the challenge, not just the ending. Hotel routes are often noisy, the Tennis Court can attract other players, and roaming ARC patrols love to show up at the worst possible second. If you've got a safe pocket, use it. No debate. It won't save a failed extract, but it can soften the blow if the run goes sideways. Keep moving, avoid extra fights, and don't stop to prove anything to random enemies on the road.

Bring it home

If you make it back and hand the Precision Gimbal to Tian Wen, the rewards are well worth the stress: a Surge Coil, Heavy Gun Parts, and a Horizontal Grip. More than that, you get the relief of not having to repeat the whole thing. A clean Safe Harbor run is less about raw aim and more about patience, route choice, and knowing when to disappear. Plenty of players spend time looking for cheap ARC Raiders Coins to stay ready for harder content, but this mission really comes down to keeping your head and making smart calls under pressure.
